The Writer I've Always Been
At 10 years old, standing in my grandmother's house in Waterproof, Louisiana, I made a declaration that would take me 33 years to fully understand:
"I am the last great philosopher."
Not "I want to be." Not "I hope to become." I said "I am."
The Journey From Chaos
I was born below ground zero in Louisiana – extreme poverty, generational trauma, and circumstances that statistically should have buried me. But something in that 10-year-old knew differently.
At 18, I prayed for "a voice like an angel." I already had a great voice, but through a tonsillectomy, it was transformed in ways that launched an unexpected broadcasting career. The Universe was preparing me for something I couldn't yet see.
For decades, I ran from my calling:
Built multiple businesses as Kennedy KL. Clark
Became a systems engineer
Consulted for others on systematic excellence
Searched everywhere for my "real" purpose
All while writing thousands of stories at night. All while teaching others that "everything you need is in your house" while searching outside myself for answers that were literally in my name.

At 43, someone analyzed my writing and showed me what I'd been hiding from. They didn't see Kennedy K. Clark the consultant. They saw KL – the writer-philosopher whose stream-of-consciousness storytelling and cinematic imagery could transform lives.
The cosmic joke? I'd been teaching the very lesson I needed to learn.
